Ren Bryce
review 1: FBI agent Ren Bryce is called to assist on a rape case of a teenage girl. Before she gets too far with her investigation she is drawn into another case, this one involving a missing young girl and her teenage babysitter. The young girl is found safe and sound but the same cannot be said with the babysitter and now the mystery increases with the discovery of another body. Ren has a wicked sense of humor which adds to the enjoyment of the book. She is also bipolar and has an older brother, Matt who frequently tries to give her a reality check. As her investigation in the death of the man deepens, she begins to suspect this is not a suicide, but perhaps a murder.
review 2: Hadn't heard of the writer before, so I did not know what to expect. This could just as well
... more have been a complete loser of a book, but luckily it was not!The basic set-up was that two young girls went missing. Little by little, the reader finds out that this is not at all the whole mystery. There's so much more! Things really are not as they seem at first.I will be looking for more books by Alex Barclay, this one was so promising! less
