review 1: The book does not provide startling new insights on how we use (or not) cellphones and other technology. It reminded me of the book "Always On" from Brian Chen. As in all cases, common sense should prevail. He describes that you are most productive in a flow-state where you function without interruptions, difference between multi and switch tasking and then how cellphones influences this. Time is spent on "zen" software that can assist you to manage your time, less complex versions of popular software and a couple of tips on how to be less dependent on your cell. Only read this if you haven't read a similar book.
review 2: This book was not what I expected based on the title. The author tends to go off on a tangent, discussing history or prehistoric cave days.
... moreSometimes he just focuses on one software product or website and just keeps repetitiously beating it into your head forever!I almost gave up on this book.Despite all that (if you make it to the end), he does off some decent self-help tips and good perspective. less

He gets a bit off track. The mini-rant about OLPC doesn't seem to fit the argument, for example.

It wasn't what I expected but there are still worthy ideas...
