review 1: I found this book in the break room at work with a note from Jenny-"loved this book". This is a story about one women's journey from infertility (I have new respect for all you girls who have done this) through birth and the NICU. It is interesting to note the differences in our NICU and theirs. But most importantly gives you a good view of the NICU from a mother's perspective. I challenge all my NICU colleagues to read this. I am putting it back in the break room.
review 2: So, I think I related to this book so much because I've spent years working in the NICU and it was interesting to see some perspective from the parent's point of view. There was even a few mentions of the speech therapist that made me smile. The author/mother made me laugh quite a bit
... more, but overall she really annoyed me and the levels of introspection had me skipping down entire pages...I imagine this would be a great read for other micropreemie parents who could possibly relate more closely to her feelings. less

The best part was the last chapter when she talks about what she learned from the experience.

It is truly miraculous that Simone was able to breast feed at 30 weeks.

Made me cry. These types of books have a tendency to do that though.

Excellent, with often unflattering honesty.
