review 1: The biography and history of the 'American Rifle', it is a well written and decent look at the culture, history and politics involved in the standard long arm of the US military. I managed to read this book a little too quickly. I found the author had me wanting to know more in some chapters and perhaps a little less in other areas. I do highly suggest this book for any one interested in firearms, military history or US history in general.84 %
