review 1: Hakan and Payton book 11Hakan has kept Payton at arms length waiting for her to mature enough to mate with her (20 years!) but hearing she is missing sends him on a quest to find her.Hakan is sexy in the extreme and he and Payton set the pages on fire. She's resentful that he rejected her when she was young and though he explains why he did what he did, she doesn't want to just fall into his arms.Payton annoyed me a bit with her game playing, she was purposely trying to punish Haka and though she did eventually give in it didn't endear her to me.The story progression is good, with more information about the sinister fertility clinic revealed.Severin and Taylor book 12Severin was abused at the clinic for years before escaping and now lives in his puma shape. Taylor (a hum... morean) is running from an abusive ex and is discovered by Severin who protects her. Both are drawn to each other and feel safe together.I liked both of them and there is more information about the clinic and what the enemies are after. But the story was just too short and ended abruptly.
review 2: Hakan pushed Payton away 20 years ago so she could grow and mature into a strong woman. Now she is every bit the strong woman he wanted her to be. He wants her to forget about the past and become his mate, Can Payton get past the pain he caused her so many years ago?Taylor was in an abusive relationship. She was beaten and broken. She fleas to the Wildlands to seek refuge from the abusive ex. She runs into Severin in his puma form. She isn't scared of him. She is attracted to him. Serverin never shifts out of his puma form until he sleeps next to Taylor. For the first time in forever she feels safe. Will Taylor be what Severin needs to get back to using his human form? Will Taylor's ex just let her go? What is the reason Serverin never wants to shift into human form?I love this series!!! The authors make it easy to connect with these characters. They feel real. They have flaws but they love with an intense passion that makes you want to find a puma shifter all your own. I highly recommend this series but I recommend you start reading from the first book because you might end up a little lost of you don't. The only bad thing can say is that these stories are way shorter than I would like them to be. less
