review 1: This is a very nice book. I learned a bunch. It is based on the diary of a girl whose dad is the captain of the ship that goes to Antarctica. The Author is on the books as part of an Artist Group. The artwork is based on a lot of pictures school children sent the author when she described her experience on the way to Antarctica and while there. This would be a great non-fiction for 4-6 Graders. I really enjoyed it!
review 2: I loved this book. The diary format was fun to read. The photos of Antarctica were amazing to see. The illustrations drawn by students in response to emails from the author's one month journey add interest.
