review 1: 3 1/2 Stars, I really enjoyed this book and the concept and will be looking into the other books in the series as well. I kept coming back to the book to see what trouble the two main characters would get into next and ended up finishing it in about 12 hours, counting putting it down to sleep. While reading I kept thinking that there were extra materials almost like filler points but the ending showed how it was necessary.Having said that I believe that the plot was a little predictable and the heroine was definitely a bit weak. All of Pearl's strengths and she can only focus on her shortcomings. She is very quick to think the worst of people but extremely quick to forgive. I think she was a bit too broken for me, I would have enjoyed the book more if she had a strong... moreer personality.Chase was cute, although I haven't been around 18 year old boys for quite some time now he was a very believable character, but maybe a bit too level headed for his age at times but other than that very likeable and believable.
review 2: Pearl is a lovely young girl that has had a rough life because she was different from everyone, abused emotionally and psychologically by what she thought were her parents. When she breaks away from her old life, she learns more about why she is different.Then the adventure begins!
