review 1: An enjoyable, short read about two men finding each other in a post-apocalyptic future. And bucking the norm of acceptability. I liked the details and world-building that Blue put into the socio-cultural constructs. The dynamics were intriguing, although I felt Blue "gave up" on the ending a bit. When I originally read this, however, I don't know if I realized it was a series.I might try another from this series, simply because of the details that did fascinate me. This one was too short to have much in the way of a plot, though, which was definitely disappointing to this reader.
review 2: I was disappointed that this book turned out to be a 42 page short story. I enjoyed the story premise and think Ally could make a great series out of Bear and Dragon's love a... morend adventures. I've emailed Ally Blue and suggested that she should consider turning this into a series. We can only hope. I heard from Ally and the next book in this series is called Shenandoah and is coming out at the end of this month. less
