review 1: This quick little story asks some interesting questions. What happens to a person, and a relationship, when one persson loses a long time job that has come to define who that person is? Chris is a chef who has been successful for many years as the head chef foe a high quality restaurant. Everything comes apart one day when the restaurant burns, and the owner decides not to reopen.In this day and age, and economy, this question is asked everyday I all kinds of relationships. The 'moral of the story, if you can call it that, is focused on what you do when life hands you lemons. Beyond that, I won't go into detail so as not to spoil the story. A fun little story to pass 20 or 30 minutes while eating lunch or waiting at the DMV!
review 2: I enjoyed this book. Tha... moret’s not to say that there were multiple passages where I wanted to say…really? Chris and Matt’s story started six years ago with Love’s Evolution. The passing years have not dimmed their passion one iota. Which makes it really sad when Chris keeps pushing Matt away. I understand about needing space to collect your thoughts, but come on. Six years and a handfasting later, you would have thought Chris would have made better choices.This is a pretty short read and there’s a bit of really steamy sex…quite a bit. For a very sweet love story, fabulous make up sex and a happily ever after, I highly recommend this book.Oh, and there’s a really great recipe included. ;-) less
