review 1: The first chapter of this book really disturbed me. The female lead was already completely victimized by her boyfriend. Attacked after sex by him and his friends, cut up, and turned into a vampire. I'm not really a feminist, bit thats fairly repulsive. There's enough female victims in books without them being so abused. She did overcome this though. I'm so glad she ditches Nathan and refused to take part in his revolution. A man that would attack you and make a life changing decision for you does not actually love you, he loves to control you.I'm kind of on the fence about this story. I might try the next book when it comes out, but probably only if it were a free kindle download. The prequel was okay, but it didn't make me feel like I really needed to continue the se... moreries.
review 2: Hmm. Don't even remotely get this. So there is apparently this Nathan guy who is actually a vampire. Some kind of head vampire who is out to create a vampire army to "save the world" and rid it of humans. ?!?!For an into to the series this was not a great one. The snippet does little to really set up the story or even explain what is going on. There is a little back story that shows somewhat how things got to this point, but even that is sketchy. I'm not compelled to read the next book although I got it as well. Thank goodness both were free from Amazon and I did not pay for anything. And luckily it only took 10-15 minutes tops to read this so no too much time invested.Oh and it appears that the author must have toyed with the POV whether in the first run through and changed it during editing and missed a few key words that should have been "I" or "me" but were "her". Might want to look into revision again and re-release. less

I absolutely loved this short story. Now I can't wait to start reading The Vampire from Hell series.

Ummm...different! But how does it tie in to the other books. And will she write more with these two.

A fast little prequel to a great series.
