review 1: I really like the way Howard writes. She's got good taste. I'm still confused as to what the creatures actually are. What are they mermaids? Sea dragons? I don't really know what they look like. It's still an amazing book though because then you can picture them whatever way you want. I LOVE Amelia's chose of character names. Y'all know I'm a sucker for creative, unusual, funky names. With the exception of the name Jenna used in the book but I can get over that because weird enough I haven't seen it as much in books. So 9.9/10 in that category. Plot? I could use I little more action but it's never a dull moment I promise. This is like the 3rd time they've snuck into a house and I wish it was a tad more thrilling. Could use more suspense but that's just my opinion. No book ... moreis flawless so it still deserves 5 stars. Speaking of flawless did you read all the love life scenes? Hot TaMolly! I enjoyed every minute of them, made my heart melt. Oh and plus it wasn't a mainstream book which is always a bonus.
review 2: Oceanborn by Amalie Howard is the second book in the Aquarathi series. This fantasy involves Lo suffering from amnesia that is caused by more than a head injury. Nerissa and company endeavor to find a cure and bring Lo's memory back. I enjoyed the twists and turns and the ending makes me want more added to this series! Thanks to NetGalley and Harlequin Teen for the arc and the chance to read and review this great book! less
