review 1: Story of Holly and Tom who move into an old gatehouse. Holly is an artist and Tom a journalist. Tom gets a lot of commissions abroad and Holly is left on her own in a village where she knows no-one. She discovers a moondial in the garden and this gives her insight into her possible future. Jocelyn is in her 80s and befriends Holly through a builder friend. Together they discover a love and relationship neither have had before. Good read.
review 2: This book was amazing. While sad it was still light hearted and had me pulling for the characters the entire time. I could not put this book down. Imagine seeing your future, seeing your husband and child but not yourself. We follow Holly through her choice to become a mother because of insecurities from her own child... morehood she is not sure she will be a good mother, through glimpses in the future she falls in love with her unborn child and ultimately decides to sacrifice herself for her daughters life. This is a story about the bond of a mother and her child, how we will do anything and sacrifice everything for them. I highly recommend this book especially if you are a mother. less
