review 1: This book was pretty good but it could have been great. The book was only about 215 pages and it needed to be longer, a few dates should have been provided so the timeline was clearer and I would of loved more details on the father's relationship with his family, the murder, and Lauren and Alex's search into the possible killer, and the conclusion. In the end there were just so many details that were left out to make this book great but I enjoyed the author's writing style and I will definitely try another of her books.
review 2: I am giving this a three simply because the plot was interesting. The writing on the other hand was simplistic and incomplete. The characters were annoying and lacked depth. I literally shouted at the characters at points because of... more the lack of obvious response. It wasn't even that the lack of response was a plot device. It just wasn't anything. It made me want to rewrite the book myself to take the characters where they obviously WANTED to go/do/say. less
