review 1: A true tale of the way the world saw the Spanish Civil War through the international press correspondents. Grand detail of the lives of photographer Capa (Hungarian), the Russian ambassador, the Spanish censor, the Communists, the Italian fascists, Americans Hemmingway. And Dos Posses...as they watched Madrid. & Barcelona fall to Franco in 1938..setting the stage for Hitler & Stalin & WW II. The individual stories kept you interested & amazed & wanting to know more.

She slows the action down with such detail but doesn't know how to speed it up. The Epilogue is the best part. less
