review 1: This is not a parenting book as I thought. I was appropriately categorized as humor by goodreads users, and it indeed pretty darn funny. The "crappy" pictures make this mother's stories and observations about parenting even funnier than they were on their own. The pixely, made-in-paint cartoons make the gross-out humor even more shocking, but also more palatable somehow. Its a fun quick read, and you don't have to be a parent to think its funny.
review 2: A hilarious parenting book filled with what was promised, crappy illustrations and some wacky parenting tales. I appreciated the format which was full of Amber's signature illustrations. Parenting stories tend to circle in an endless loop (toddlers shouting "PENIS!", vomit, super sore boobs and never enough ... moresleep) and this was no different but the format and it's easy-to-read-in-one-sitting length kept me giggling. Recommended to both parents and the childfree. less
