review 1: The heroine was awesome but her feats of superhuman abilities were a bit odd near the end. The romance was so so. I actually didn't really care about either guy in the love triangle but Simon was slightly more interesting than William. Unfortunately Abbie leans towards William. Both of the guys are doctors but honestly William is also the bad boy type.Bad boys are a toss up for me since I really do like the dependable nice guy more. Sadly, William too much of a jerk sometimes. Nice guys are sometimes boring but Simon is hiding his complexity under his poker face so I want to read about him more than hot blooded William. Abbie herself is a very strong character and my favorite part of the novel. I really enjoyed her perspective. This book could have been a standalone ... morebook but I don't mind reading a sequel.
review 2: I bought this to keep me company on my stay at a place that doesn't allow tv or internet at all. I love to read. The summary sounded appealing to me, and I remembered my old librarian told me don't always follow summaries, Open to the first few pages and start to read instead. I wish I took her advice. The plot was good, and story was okay. It was hard for me to keep focus (when I love stories in this topic/genre), but I made it to the end with a meh. Matt seemed to have too much power. Some characters makes me wish that I was in there myself to give them a good beating for the stupidity. I'm not rating this low, but at the end I found this story decent, characters okay, and plot actually creative (the only thing that really kept me to this book). I just ordered the next book of the series. Hopefully it's going to be good :) less
