review 1: I was hooked at the start of the novel. Great characters, and fun and yet deep story (a Jewish girl wanting to get into a Christian school of music, girl falls for a good Christian boy, then wants to deny her heritage as a Jew because she wants to fit in rahrahrah). Unfortunately, this book let me down a bit. The possibilities for this book were endless! However, it just wasn't used to its full potential. I didn't want to believe it, but I found OyMG dragged after about the half way point, nothing new happening, nothing notable to keep me ensnared in the words on each page. The book could have easily gotten 5 stars, however, regrettably, I couldn't give those two extra stars.
review 2: This book was easy to read, I liked how the author made it enjoyable for any
... moreone to read-up to kids, teens, and adults. I liked how it was creative to- it was about competition,- not just a, "I saw it coming", it was unexpected because you don't see much authors who write about speech including in books, I'll give her props for that. Then I also liked how they kept mentioning about the Nazi Jewish camps n all that, so it's easy to tell she's putting real history in it. But the message I deeply got was on page 213, two wrongs can make a right. (It's such a coincidence how my goal is to read 213 books in 2013, wht can I say, 13 will always remain my first n last lucky number) but anyways I like that quote, I always here it around me. less
