review 1: Honestly I bought this book thinking it was going to be another okay read but then Amy Finnegan swept me into the world of Emma and Jake. Lordy. I read this book in a total of six or seven hours. I put it down twice and that was because I needed to sleep. You know you've found an amazing author and a great book when you finish it less than 24 hours after you bought. I can't wait to read more books by Amy Finnegan and she's one of my favorite authors now!
review 2: I loved this book. I haven't read a lot of books like this about young stars but this makes me want to read more like it. I absolutely love how relatable Emma's character was even though she was in a completely different place than me. I was never bored with this book. I was captivated by the idea of
... morebeing a young star and seeing how they live. There was never a lack of excitement, drama or emotions and that's what kept me turn the page. The romance between Emma and Jake was spectacular. The sparks flying between them were enough to burn up the pages. I loved the fact that we got to see both of their points of view. Usually I'm not a fan of dual points of view but it fit perfectly for this book. The romance was to die for and the interactions and dialogue were amazing. The dialogue was fun and lighthearted, but there were also serious moments that made your heart beat a little faster. Speaking of emotions, mine were wrapped around this books nonexistent little finger. Amy had me clutching my heart more than once in happiness and sadness, but that made the book more real. I felt Emma's emotions as if they were my own. This book transported me into a world full of cameras, movie sets, and paparazzi, and as I read it I forgot about my own life for a little bit. Not in the Script is a book that will take hold of your interest and emotions and not let go until long after you're finished it. You will be left smiling when you finish this book, wishing that it had never ended. I highly recommend Not in the Script to contemporary lovers because this book will blow your mind. less
