review 1: This is a great book for Phonemic awareness—it is a book of Wordles, or words that are spelled differently, mean different things, but sound the same. It is written so that one "wordle" is written on one page, and on the following page is an alternative, which gives you a chance to think about what it might be before you get there. The pictures are clever, and it’s a fun idea for a book. It would be good to read to a big group and talk about the different meanings, but some of the phrases might be hard for kids to grasp.
review 2: This is a fun book playing with wordles, which are groups of words that sound exactly the same but mean different things. Example: "Me, cloud." with a picture of a smiling cloud, becomes "Meek. Loud." with a picture of a shy ... moreboy peeking behind a boisterous boy playing the drums. Kids will get a kick out of the funny illustrations and trying to guess the wordle that comes next. They may even try their own hand at making some. less
