review 1: Honestly, I picked up this book because I wanted to find more time in my days to read books and play with my kids. I was tired to death of my time telling me what to do.Side note: Why are most books which teach about how to plan and use your time effectively so long? *This was not one of them.*Hallelujah!!It was perfect. I read the beginning chapters in under 20 minutes on Saturday. I set it aside on Sunday to take care of my other priorities. Picking it up again Monday morning, it took me about one hour to completely read and work through (writing and planning as I read using her printable resources) the book - deciding on my priorities, roles, dreams, and goals. She strongly suggests planning time in for self (body, mind, spirit), not for selfish reasons but so "I am well... more enough and strong enough to attend to my other roles without being distracted by the ailments that come with an unhealthy self."She is also a huge advocate of scheduling sleep and not letting those hours be given to other priorities, "because it's so vital to your overall health and well-being, guard it fiercely."The author is succinct and to the point. I now have the time to focus and work on what I planned to do: my priorities and my dreams. Giddy-up.
review 2: Wonderful little book. Concise, helpful, and to the point. You'll be on your way to tackling a weekly schedule in no time, through four no-nonsense, simple steps that just make SENSE. It's so obviously easy and duh! you might wonder why you didn't think of it before - and yet, most of us don't, hence the usefulness of this book. A quick read, and the author is engaging and friendly in tone. Highly recommend! less
