Summer Unplugged
review 1: It was a short read. Not much going on in there and was a bit rushed. Bayleigh, a high school student is grounded by her mom for sexting with a boy named Ian. A boy that her mom previously banned her from seeing. As punishment, she is sent to "BFE" in a small town in Texas to live with her grandparents sans cellphone and laptop. There, she meets her next door neighbor Jace, who was a motorcross star. They become friends but Bayleigh soon has doubts about their friendship since she'll be gone, never to see him when summer ends. The plot was ok. Few mistakes.
review 2: This book is too short to get a full review, but I'll type a bit.Bayleigh is the stereotypical teenage girl. Obsessed with her phone, facebook, and, of course, boys. When she sends her terrible boy
... morefriend, Ian, a shirtless picture and her mother sees? Her summer turns into a 'nightmare.' She's sent to live with her grandparents in the middle of nowhere. And, look, this is convenient. A boy who's one year older than her and who rides a motorcycle lives right next door. This book was ridiculous. Bayliegh had no depth and a shitty personality. Jace (The boy with the motorcycle.) was the average YA boy. Nothing special about him. At all.But it kept me entertained, I suppose. 2 stars. less
