review 1: I can never get enough of these short stories they just lovely. Jacob and Elijah are just loveable adorable slow pace even if it is a short read. Elijah is going through grief his husband passed away, Jacob is going through an failed relationship. Jacobs friend advices him to start an hobby. He joins an photographer class he fall s for his teacher. It slow but it works. Together they will over come hurt and comfort each other.
review 2: Contemporary slow build story about two damaged men learning to overcome the hurts of the past and trust in their feelings for each other. Jacob's ex left him for a younger man and his friends are worried about him, so he agrees to sign up for a photography refresher course, where he meets Elijah. There is an attraction, but E... morelijah is widowed and has never got over the loss of his husband. This is a really gentle kind of story showing the pair get to know each other and deal with their pasts. There is a good cast of minor characters, not least Evan, the younger partner of one of Jacob's friends, who also knows Elijah, and Elizabeth, the somewhat potty-mouthed primary school teacher who encourages Jacob to pursue what he wants. Really enjoyable debut story from this author. less
