review 1: I have mixed feelings about this book. It's a good book, but some parts left me scratching my head and left me wondering if this was supposed to be a Christian book or not. I would have given this 5 stars if this wasn't supposed to be a book about faith.I don't have a problem with the premise of the book, it's a great story, I just don't agree with some of the storyline. This a story within a story. If this man was telling a story to his family, including a 3 year old, I don't think he would have been quite as descriptive about the honeymoon night. Not that it was descriptive, but, in my opinion too descriptive for a 3 year old. Maybe it's my fault for thnking this is a ..."Christian" book, so that is why I struggled with some of the storyline (changing of history)... more. I'm all for angels among us and I know God works in mysterious ways.Also, I felt that the original storyline ended rather abruptly.........would one story really end a crisis of faith quite so easily and there was no conflict resolution with the daughters. Oh and the way Abigail and Christian spoke to each other also bothered me. They are supposed to be in love, soul mates, yet they always called each other by their given names.
review 2: I would highly recommend reading "The Butterfly key" it is a very well written novel with charters that are easy to follow and understand ,it also reflects many everyday struggles many people face but give us the strength to understand and to cope. i laughed and i cried,this book has truly touched my heart and helped me to see that life is not always perfect but as long as we have faith our lives will turn out for the better my husband bought me a copy and after reading it we have bought more as gifts. less
