review 1: This was refreshingly simple to read. Usually financial books have me glazed over by page two. I'm not well-versed in this subject, but he made he think I can manage my own money (yikes). He's very passionate about index funds over mutual funds. After reading his argument, I have to agree that they sound like a solid choice for long-term growth. I would be interested in reading someone's opposing perspective just because he makes his argument seem so obvious. It has me feeling suspicious about being brainwashed. His financial tips are very important for young "savers" as opposed to people who want to get rich quick or need access to their funds right now. I'll defiantly loan it to my friends.

... morepeople always ask me for recommendations on basic, entry-level books. I think this is probably the best one. It consolidates the information from other books and presents it in a very readable manner. It's probably much too basic for those with personal finance backgrounds, but it's definitely the one I will recommend to friends just starting out. less
