review 1: This is the third book in The Fairlawn Series by Angela Hunt. All three books are excellent.Jennifer owner of the Fairlawn Funeral Home (inherited in Book 1), is raising two children, and studying for her national board exam. Gerald Huffman, her wonderful caring elderly mentor finds out he has a serious illness. I miss the characters in these books. I read all three in one week but the characters still come to mind often.
review 2: This was a pretty good book. At the end, there were characters that seemed to have gotten "lost" in the story. It was as if the author meant to write more about them because she spent so much time on them in the beginning, but then just didn't have enough pages to get it all done? Other than that, I learned way more about the mort... moreuary business than I ever really wanted to know, but the story was light and touching. less
