But once I got past the beginning the story did start to grab my interest. THE PROMISE OF MORNING is a book that takes you through heartache to find hope, trust, and forgiveness. If you like historical fiction, then THE PROMISE OF MORNING is a book to consider. $14.99. 322 pages.
review 2: I loved this book!! I couldn't put it down. I liked that it was back in the 1840's. This is a book about overcoming tragedy and moving forward. It's about finding the strength within in yourself to live again even when you think it's impossible. I felt a lot of sympathy for Ellie. I could not imagine what it would be like to bury not one but three small children. She had a lot to deal with and I could feel myself being in her shoes. Ellie had to find the courage to go on and not just survive but really live and enjoy life. I rushed to my library to check out more of Ann Shorey's Books. Ann does an incredible job, very good story! I'm so glad I got this book! It's one I will treasure and pass on to my children as a great read!!! less
