review 2: This book is one tough one to review. I detest telling the summary of the story as a review so I'll try to write something about it.I didn't enjoy it much. It was very difficult understanding the characters and I initially got confused about the characters. Some bits about the slavery needed a ... morebit more work on research. I think I found the doctor okay. He would have been a possible Character to relate with. Molly in a way seemed very attached to people which I think the writer really did well to portray and the transformation from a dependent person to an independent woman was good. The writing style didn't do it well for me. The book dragged on way too long and I think the next in the series would have fit in this one book. I like to see a good reason for a book two, now I don't see much but I may be wrong so I'll be reading the next for curiosity sake.The end was predictive a and some scenes like Reuben and Betsy running away and Franklin's disappearance being masterminded by the Indians. It was obvious from the onset. I don't want to spoil it with more predictions but the writer did well. Can't say I can pull off a book this good. less
