review 1: 3-3.5 starsGreat to visit Jesse and Will again . . . This really felt like a really long epilogue, lacked the punch and emotion of Another Way.Trying not to spoil ....How they learn to navigate a real life relationship...Some of this plot felt contrived ... Like Will's inability to continue the D/s aspect of their pairing. That didn't fit the Will Character I thought I knew. And i reread Another Way first ....The plot thing with Laura ... Felt weird. I always thought the husband was an odd duck, (to each, their own), but this made him an ass! Then the paperwork thing??? What kind of person doesn't take responsibility???Anyway .. Nice night's read ....
review 2: While I still thoroughly enjoyed this sequel, I was maybe surprised at how different it felt from th... moree original book. I absolutely loved “Another Way”. I loved Jesse and Will’s relationship – especially the D/s aspect of it – and the angst they had to work through over Jesse’s sexuality. This book felt like a pretty huge step away from the very thing I loved in the last book. I appreciate that relationships change and evolve, but I liked them just the way they were! I loved strong Master Will, but not so much the conflicted one who lost his way after the car accident. Maybe I’m wishfully reading the tea leaves, but I’m hoping beyond hope that there’s at least one more book for these guys. They seemed to be back on track at the end of the book, but needed more time to put the building blocks back in place. Plus the issue that came up in Laura’s family situation got my hopes up for a change in Will and Jesse’s future (I thought it might go a different direction, but no siree! Just keeping my fingers crossed). Please bring back the boys I love one more time!!! less
