review 1: I don't hand out 5 stars lightly! The problems I had with the previous novellas were dealt with wonderfully in this book. These characters were real and human and interesting and complicated. I was drawn in and this story didn't let me go until I finished!Mephisto is a fascinating hero. He's strong and intelligent but he's also flawed and he grows. Same with Molly, who started out much like she'd been in the prequels and had more growing to do than anyone else. Her struggle was real and I sympathized with it. I loved the evolution of their relationship. Every bit of it. I would heartily recommend this book to anyone... that's saying something as I don't generally go for 24/7 Master/slave relationship stories.
review 2: I'm so glad that I persevered with... more this series after reading Club Mephisto. This was such a fitting finale to Mephisto and Molly's journey. Yes, the book is BDSM but it is ultimately a romance. An extremely satisfying romance.Molly really came into her own on this journey of discovery for herself. I loved Mephisto in this book, he was strong and caring and knew Molly, what made her tick. I'm glad that the author showed his capacity to love and care for Molly. He also gave Molly other options to find herself and to show her own strength and autonomy.I loved the scene towards the end with Lorna, Molly and Mephisto, I won't give any spoilers but those who have read this book will know.Molly and Mephisto were like a jigsaw, they complemented each other so well. Mephisto gave Molly room to recognise her potential. I always saw Clayton's love as smothering, manipulating.This book is very much like the author's earlier work that I had read and loved. It was a very fine romance .....with a lot of kink.... less
