review 1: This is the second book I've read by Anne Calhoun (first one being UNFORGIVEN), and wow. Her books are way more than just sexy and passionate. They are full of emotion and big-time character growth. My only wish for AFTERNOON DELIGHT is for it to be a full-length novel. I'd love to spend a lot more time with Sarah and Tim. Great story, lovely message about slowing down and enjoying life even if the future is terrifying. And holy big time swoons. I love, love, love this couple.
review 2: Wow, that was probably one of the most sleep-inducing books I've ever read. Blah storyline, boring conversations, steamLESS sex and lame characters. Sarah, our heroine was a little too chipper for my taste. She had that forced happy-go-lucky feel that never fails to irritate me.
... more Tim, our hero, was basically a walking corpse. In fact, I think brain eating zombies have way more personality than this guy. So, obviously, not a fan of this one and thank goodness it was short. less

There wasn't enough character development for me to be interested. I liked all the food talk though.
