review 1: I loved this book! It's witty and wry and I enjoyed the literary and philosophical references - so Pomo (a term a learned from this book). It also included wonderfully grim descriptions of the "troubles" in Ireland and you can almost feel about the atmosphere created by Anne about the Auckland blackouts. Really enjoyed the use of poetic language, and the layering. Fun narrator. Very enjoyable.

A slightly weird tale, but I had trouble putting it down in the end
