review 1: Tyler McCade and Caitlyn Ross have made my top ten favorite couples list. I just adored these two! They really matched up well. They have a mutual respect for each other and share the same interest.I liked that the author did not rush these two into bed, even though the sparks between them started from the first day they met. I am glad that the author did not change Tyler into a grumpy character like his brothers, Dallas and Austin. Even when Tyler was down and withdrew, he still tried his best to be kind to Caitylyn. I was also delighted that all the McCade brothers and their wives were part of this story. The honest and very thoughtful conversation between Jessie and Caitlyn really stood out to me. I always enjoy the visits with Mother “Ruth” McCade as she is so ... morecaring. Like Caitlyn, I would like Ruth’s recipe for the Texas Hot Cocoa Cake. That sounded so yummy!As fond as I am of Caitlyn, she sure did frustrate me towards the end of the book. I found myself talking to the book and saying- Come on girl, you have the love of a wonderful man, don’t blow it! Tyler’s surprise was really genuine and so thoughtful, and not at all corny. (Unlike, his brother Cameron’s attempts to win Jessie back.) The author has given us a few clues in all the books regarding Tori and Sam, so something has to be going on between these two, so I am looking forward to reading her story next. Over-all Rating 4.5
review 2: Tyler McCade is still recovering from the crash. He retreats to Diamondback Ranch to heal and save his business. With the help of a hired pilot, Caitlyn Ross, may save his business and much more. She helps him heal and soothes his tormented soul of the possibility that the crash may have been his fault. Tyler's heart is lost to this lonely woman who is so independent and has a fortified wall around her heart. Caitlyn Ross is alone in the world. She lives to fly planes and takes up the chance to work for Tyler McCade to his planes. She is extremely attracted to him that has her defenses go on high alert. Caitlyn has to protect her heart from getting broken again by people who would leave her. They try to resist each other but the attraction is too much and they give into their desires. Tyler and Caitlyn get to know one another better over the months she works for him, and Tyler wants her in life. He wants to keep her forever. Caitlyn refuses to do any commitments or permanence because she feels nothing will last and she'll end up with a broken heart. Tyler does everything he possibly can to prove to Caitlyn that he really does love her and will do anything for her. Lone Star Heartbreaker was a good book to read. I was captivated and couldn't put it down. less
