review 1: This was a fun, fast little read. It reminded me a lot of Linda Lael Miller books, which I enjoy reading often. Cameron, the doctor who returns home to a small town to face everything he left behind (including the girl) is patient and charming. Jessie, the girl left behind, battles her conscious and guilt to find her way back to Cameron. At times, Jess was annoying, and I just wanted to kick her butt...but in the end love wins out (of course!)
review 2: This is the first time for me on reading anything published by Anne Marie Novark that has created a reunion love story. Jessie Kincaid was fifteen when Cameron McCade asked her to the prom. After the prom, they went parking where she had her first kiss and gave her heart that night to Cameron. The next da... morey, he left for college and to pursue his dreams never looking back. Seventeen years later, Cameron is back in Salt Fork, Texas, for his mother’s birthday party. Newly widowed Jessie Devine still runs her father’s garage that she inherited when he died and when Cameron comes into town for a repair on his car sparks begin to fly. Since his return he cannot get enough of Jessie and wants more….she is what has been missing in his life. Will he give up his great promotion and great career he has in Houston or settle in becoming the small town doctor with the girl he left behind? Will Jessie follow her heart or will the promises she made and fear keep her from the only man that ever held her heart……I am looking forward to reading the next book, The Cowboy’s Surrender, from The Diamondback Ranch Series. less
