review 1: Anne McAneny does a great job with a story about Allison Fennimore's daunting mission to clear her father's name for two deaths that occurred when she was a teenager. "Raveled" alternates between events happening in the present and those that happened during the time of the deaths. The story flowed like a good movie, which makes sense since the author is also a screenwriter. There were just a few too many similes. Other than that, very good reading. I would definitely read other books by this author.
review 2: After a 16-year absence from her hometown, Allison Fennimore returns at her brother's request to find out who really killed the high school quarterback their father was convicted of killing. She isn't an eager detective, and this isn't part of yet another... more series of mysteries featuring the author's wanna-be Kinsey Milhone successor. It is a great story with believable characters who all try to hide something they don't want others to know. And Allison discovers the truth in spite of all the lies. less
