review 1: Tory does not want to spend Christmas Eve intruding on her best friend’s holiday with her new boyfriend. When one of Tory’s male friends, Devon, calls her, she agrees to go to a party with him in Anne Rainey’s WHAT SHE CRAVES, book 2 of her CAPE MAY series. Tory is not aware that Devon and Con, the party’s host, have decided that this Christmas will be one none of them will forget. Both men want her and have made a pact to show her how much they want and love her. I liked Tory. She is independent and not afraid of spending the holidays alone. When she has the opportunity to go out with Devon she accepts. She is open to what Devon and Con want. I liked both men. They do spring their desire upon her and expect her to accept their decision as a done deal. Wh... moreen she balks they show her how it can be. It is then up to Tory to decide if she can accept what they have to offer. WHAT SHE CRAVES is not long enough for much soul searching on Tory’s side. The story moves quickly so there is not a lot of conflict development. The character development is much better. I got a feel for who Tory and Devon are and what they value. I could not pick up as much on Con as he is more off to the side, more like a conscience speaker than a full participant in the conflict. I hope Anne Rainey gets an opportunity to expand WHAT SHE CRAVES and can focus more on the conflict and its resolution.
review 2: Quick, easy, totally hot read. I like the idea of the next book, a quick glimpse into how two, never shared a woman before men are working out the kinks of this kind of relationship. I also liked how Tory didn't just jump in during the "afterglow". She went home to think about all the aspects of a menage relationship. Wouldn't mind reading Summer's story, but I think I'll have to pretend Gage has hair. Shaved heads just aren't my thing! :) less

Short story porn. It was fun but I think I would have enjoyed it more as a full novel.
