review 1: I loved the pretense of the book and how people are living at the bottom of the ocean, and people are still living on land in a war-torn world after World War III. However, the book ends so abruptly after the protagonist is given multiple life altering decisions to make. It feels as though decisions came very easily to such a young person, when in reality, the decisions would ultimately change everything about the way she lived. And then suddenly, she knows what she wants and needs to do, without any question. It just felt that the end was rushed in comparison to everything else, and it all wrapped up too neatly for the type of world that. They lived in.
review 2: 1st in a series Terra is bored with life under the ocean (where she lives after everyone on E
... morearth let loose with the nuclear weapons) Given the chance (and paying the price) she escapes to the Burn, modern day Earth. It's definitely not boring, the gonernmet wants to keep tabs on any little thing you do with "watchers" traces your moves with "trackers" and anyone caught living outside a city is thrown in "camp" Very interesting world, genuine characters who moved me. Only complaint was it was too short! Oredering the sequel from amazon now:) less

The Little Mermaid (not the Disney version, the real version) told with a dystopic twist.
