review 1: So far the book is good. I learned that crocodile tears is an actual thing and it is to weep crocodile tears is to put on an insincere show of sorrow. I assume the book will have a plot twist due to its meaning. In the beginning a nuclear power plant in India exploded. Later the main character Alex goes to a new years party in Scotland. A man named Harry Bulman wants to interview Alex about his work with MI6. MI6 asks Alex to do one last mission and in return they will get Harry Bulman off his back. Alex is sent to retrieve intelligence on genetic modified plants. A man named McCain discovers that someone has downloaded his files and found out that Alex took his files and asks Bulman for information on Alex then kills Bulman to keep him quiet. Alex learns that McCain's cha... morerity was to steel money from them people. McCain plans to create a poison with the money. Alex is caught and is left to die by crocodiles when a person from the Indian Secret Service saves him.
review 2: The book Crocodile Tears was a very good book. Instead of a long, boring start to a book like most, this book starts out fast and gets me hooked on the book immediately. It starts out with the main character, Alex, in trouble like usual, which then gets him involved with the same undercover spy agency that he promised he would never work for again. And with that, the fourteen year old teenager is once again a spy and on yet another mission without him wanting to. Throughout the book, Alex gets in so many tough situations that no fourteen year old boy would ever want to be in. He faces a terrible group of people and one nasty individual that is in charge of a “charity” to help people throughout the world, but come to find out that he is a bad person and can do some harm. This book helps us understand what the life of a teenage boy spy is through the main characters shoes. It was easy to relate to the main character in a way that he’s is a teenager just like the readers and has to make difficult decisions like most. The author gives an interesting example of even though a person may be luring you into thinking he’s a good person, he may not always be once you find out the actual truth about them. I also think that it gives a little life lesson in a way that, you may never know when you’ll have a second chance, so always keep fighting until you can’t anymore. The book was very action packed and suspenseful, which kept me on the edge of my seat and wanting to read more. I recommend this book to anyone that likes a good action and suspenseful book! less
