review 1: (Marthie) I love Scandi crime and The Healer certainly did not disappoint. A clever story with a fascinating premise - Helsinki is in the grip of climate catastrophe, the infrastructure of the city has broken down, the police is no different from the criminals with everybody struggling for survival. Tapani is a poet, deeply in love with his journalist wife, and when she disappears, he knows it is up to him to find and save her. Great story!
review 2: I liked this short, fast-paced story. The setting was the not-too distant future, in a world highly impacted by changing climate, rising seas, disease, and immigration (climate refugees). I thought the author's imagining of how humans would act in this type of world were realistic. Amid all of this, the narrator is
... more searching for his missing wife, a journalist investigating a series of killings. I enjoyed the ending, which was left slightly ambiguous, but I have to admit that I hope the world imagined in the Healer does not come to pass. less

I haven't exactly read it, as it's in Spanish, but it is my photo on the cover, so it counts. ;)
Insane
Solid. A bit sketchy. As much as I like compact reads, this would be improved were it expanded.
