review 1: This Finnish dystopian mystery is set in Helsinki. A young poet is searching for his missing journalist wife. With the police unable to cope with all the problems and their reduced number, he must search alone. ... moreo significantly destroy the world as we have known it. People in Helsinki are moving to Lapland, people from further South are moving to Helsinki. Much of what we are accustomed to - reliable electricity, street lights, police, schools, homes - are slowly disappearing r no longer functioning well. All this adds to the difficulty in finding Johanna. The book is believable (sadly) and well written. less
