review 1: I got this read for free on my Kindle. It's definitely erotic that focuses on control and domination. If you like this type of read, you would be disappointed since it's only about 50 pgs in length, which explains why it was free. Some of the terms used throughout was at times unnecessary I thought and bordering on bad porn, but I love this time period (1800's) and the storyline had potential had it been toned down a bit. Unfortunately, there was not enough time to develop the characters both of which I loved. The main character was a sea captain and her, his wife and before marrying her and during his time at sea, he learns many different forms of pleasure which he keeps secret from his wife. I'll leave it at that.
review 2: This book is totally naughty,
... morelike, erotica...shhhhhh! Actually, it read like a traditional historical romance, with a smidge of the Bluebeard tale, and more graphic sex. Some of the story hinged on the both members of the couple having no idea how kinky the other one was, and they managed to completely miss how really into the BDSM the other one was, but a good time was had by all. The ending was almost Judith McNaught-ish in the big misunderstanding leading to hurt feelings on both sides. less

Quick, short story about a husband and wife both scared to be their true selves with one another.

The only reason for the low rating is that this is not my style at all.
