review 1: This volume focused more on the President of the B Host Club (which is a lame name; I'm never sure if the names are done this way due to lack of imagination or if they're name place holders that the typical Japanese reader would recognize or if they're actual club names). I didn't really get why Ryoko was so determined to meddle in the President's affairs and could of done with a different plot element to focus on. I suppose the author is trying to set him up as the guy with a heart of gold who is deep down a great person. The thing is sometimes an asshole is just an asshole. I don't care about your sob story, no matter how compelling, it doesn't excuse you being a dick. I liked how it ended. Didn't expect a stabbing, but who does? Interested to see where the story goes. H... moreopefully less president and more Ryoko and Ryunosuke.
review 2: Sakura shows her busy body side, and gets all in trouble. The manager has her interests-WHY?!?!She has Fuji and the manager will not let him quit the host club. For being such an Innocent, naive girl, she blindly boldly goes where she has never thought before. There are some manga, that have some panels during the story line-drawn cutie little kiddie like. With this volume, I found the use of this technique, choppy and very inappropriate. They are well drawn, just at the wrong times-you are left scratching your head-wondering why the panel was there at all, It slowed the story progression-not advancing it at all. Also the topic of s-e-x comes up-he says he will wait for her, then by the next page it--I do not want to wait. Confusing, since Fuji has proven himself to be a stand up guy, who really cares/protects Sakura. less
