review 1: I used to think that these kinds of stories were awesome, trendy and very unique. "Used to", back then I wasn't aware of what "unique" and "cliche" truly means and the difference between the conflicting words. I haven't had time to explore the world of fiction and the twists. When I heard that a few Wattpad stories were being recognized and issued by the local publishing company called PSICOM, I quickly tried re-reading the books. Unfortunately, unlike 2 years ago, I wasn't thrilled nor was hooked-up by the books. It wasn't because I've already read it years back, I could easily forget every scenes in a BANG. You know the feeling of running a few 'sweet' segments in your head and you're secretly hoping that they would happen but you know it shouldn't because it would ruin t... morehe purpose of the whole story? I know, a few parts from your shelves of fantasies could have been undeniable but stories were, one way or another, meant to be ALMOST perfect or should I say, faulty, realistic, faithful, OR un-idealized. Well, mostly mentioned above happened in this book.Stories|Novels are not wish-granting factories. They weren't made to fulfill your dreams. Though it is called fiction for a reason, there are things that should be conveyed not through make-believes. They were made to impersonate the realism of life. Man created them to slap us of what we should have been expecting not what we wanted to believe. They crash our beliefs. They change us, not make us live over our fantasies. This book made my make-believes come true, my expectations breathed to life. In short, it was predictable. Unrealistic. Too idealistic. Not exactly cliche. Most readers probably consider it cliche because it was too much of a princess story (not literally, you know what I mean). Now let's give a list of things that made it an Old-Disney-princess-type of story:-expectations, I've got it.-girl protagonist belongs to the high-class family or the rich people-basically, almost everyone belongs to the higher class-everything started with a gorgeous young introvert boy who meets a pretty girl at school.-They make her ex jealous and he, the introvert, falls for her.-Ex falls head over heels for her again.-both boys are rich and famous, either way.And the list goes on. Basically, the author could have made the protagonist 'rich' class an edge to her story. The leads being rich could have fitted the 'realism' but, I'm sorry, we're in a third-world country and you set your story in a third-world country. It became [for the nth time I mention this] dream-like for most of the readers because not all of us, to be honest, are not as rich as those of the characters.Nonetheless, I do not hold everyone's mind neither do I have telepathic powers to change your views. Everyone is entitled to read their choice of books. Everyone has every damn right to defend their faves. But I hope that they do not take things from this book literally [like that one part where she didn't care if her father would kill her if he did 'it' with Lance or not] and they may learn that there are more life-like versions of these, books that will really teach you lessons even though it seems that they don't. There are deeper meanings in books, not in these kind of books though. These types of books are only meant to fed your thirst for happy endings and life-in-colors visions.Para sa akin, oo, reflection ng utak ng tao ang binabasa niyang libro. Pero paano kung hindi lang ganito ang binabasa niya? Paano kung mas magaganda ding libro ang binabasa niya? Does that make them greater than those who only read the less formal books? You're on your own to decide. And alas, I have discovered stories in Wattpad that does not fall under the 'cliche' stories. Might as well read them than judge firsthand. review 2: THIS IS MY FIRST EVER WRITTEN REVIEW AND IM WRITING THIS FORCEFULLY SO THAT NOBODY WOULD TRY TO READ THIS----UGGGHHHI know saying this would be a bit cliche, but I'm saying this anyway. If only I could give this book a rating of 0 stars, I would. This book is even a TRILOGY?!!! Okay, My bestfriend gave me this book as a present 'cause she knows that I'm a bookworm. Of course, I'm really happy that she bought me this kind of book cuz I know this such thing is kinda trending now. It was boring. It was predictable. The dialogues were inappropriate. * insert any negative words you may find in the dictionary *Okay, to sum it all up, IT WAS A TRASH. Like where on earth would you find a person who's perfect?!!!! LIKE WHERE ON EARTH WOULD YOU FIND A BOOK THAT DOESN'T MEAN ANYTHING. It is full of flirty scenes. Seriously? less
