review 1: WOW! WOW! WOW! Ashley Wilcox first book (Planning On Forever) was awesome. I knew I was going to enjoy reading Summer Rush. Well, enjoy doesn't even come close to the emotions I felt while loosing myself in this incredible journey. Hope has a great boyfriend, Trent that she loves, he is everything a woman would want, charming, kind, handsome, he is love with Hope, and she struggles with her feelings, is she really "in love"? Everything changes when she sees Joey for the first time. The doubts she had about Trent are much stronger than ever. She very dedicated to those she loves, especially her loving parents. Will she follow her heart? Or will some bad choices from Joey's past ruin true love?I must also mention that Ashley has a wonderful way of pulling you right into her ... morebooks, many times I was swept away, and the "rush" was captivating! You will absolutely LOVE this book. I can't wait for her next book, the next amazing journey that will leave you feeling every emotion, and just wanting more! So much more!
review 2: Summer Rush was a cute, sweet, fun read. It's a story about how much your life can change in one summer, and how what you thought you always wanted may not be what you need. 3 starsHope is a sweet girl that sacrifices her social life taking care of her mother and studying for nursing school. She has the perfect, attentive boyfriend Trent, and loves to surf in the morning when is the only time she has any free time. Then she meets Joey Puccino and everything changes for her. Joey is cocky, rude, and extremely hot and Hope is instantly attracted to him. Joey is nothing like she wants or needs, so why is it she can't stop thinking about him? Secrets are revealed, some to close to home and Hope has a big decision to make......does she follow her heart or does she chose to live her life the way she thinks it was meant to be?Like I mentioned, this is cute read. There were a few issues for me like the time jumping around too fast(felt rushed), not enough description, and I was confused about the ending. The ending was like a cliffhanger, but wasn't! I just felt like Hope and Joey's story is not complete, and I frantically searched Ashley's author page and it looks like the next book is Trent's story. Even with these issues, I think the story is still enjoyable. less
