Soul Eater
review 1: Soul Eater is about a weapon names Soul Eater and his weapon meister Maka. They are partners who go to an academy run by the grim reaper himself where they work towards their goal of collecting 100 Kishin souls and the soul of 1 witch. If they can do that Soul will be transformed into a Death Scythe, one of the Reaper's personal weapons. This series has intense battles, deep relationships and characters and also a great since of humor. I recommend this series to anyone interested in a great story about a group of friends who fight back against the evil if the world and try to make it a better place and if you like manga and fantasy.
review 2: If you're expecting the anime - think again. While the plot is the same (initially at any rate - I understand that it wi
... morell branch eventually), the art is completely different. While it still is not your typical shounen art, it's not the Tim Burton-esque artstyle of the anime. Also, it has no qualms about undetailed nudity in bathing scenes. I'm a little bit shocked as in your usual shounen for this age range, that would not be a thing. =P (Think Inuyasha...) On the other hand, the plot is still good and I will probably read the whole thing as I have time. :) less
