review 1: Great story. This was actually the first sci-fi romance I think I have ever read. I was hesitant at first because I never really read sci-fi, but I am so glad I picked it up! I loved the relationship between the hero & heroine, how he saved her from her sex-starved, vicious crew and took her back to his home planet with honest intentions. I liked the way she went about making efforts to adapt to her new surroundings and was still able to maintain her own identity. I really enjoyed the romance aspect, and the imagery the author painted was well done.
review 2: Lieutenant Xera Harrisdaughter (Harris-d) is stuck in a very bad situation. She is stuck on a enemy desert planet with the enemy, but to survive until another space ship can pick them all up, they must wor... morek together. Xera is the translator and masters both languages so she is quickly put in an awkward position between the two groups of men. She is also the only female and that is very bad when you don't know how long they all might be stranded on the planet. Her captain and fellow humans turn on her rather quickly and she is 'saved' by the Scorpio Commander Ryven and his respectful people.So romance ensues between the two although Ryven knows exactly what he wants right away, it takes Xera some time to come along and fall in love with him.Sweet romance, with nasty violence between waring alien races and lots of players and characters. Well written and edited sci-fi space fantasy romance.305 pages and kindle freebie (although previously published in mass market paperback) less
