review 1: Picked this up as a freebie e-book. Quick, trashy, mildly entertaining read. Would not read again. I will admit that I tried putting it down after pages of vapid ridiculousness and yet kept picking it back up to see what happened next. I doubt I'll pick up the next few in the series as the characters were downright unlikable. Portions of the plot were kind of funny. Some of Aster's writing style was cute in it's own way. If you want to read about train wrecks like Paris Hilton or Kim K with body issues, addiction problems and no sense of responsibility or reality? This may be the book for you! If not...you can find something better.

... mored of cray cray! Lex Easton was the plus sized daughter of famed rockers. A product of an absentee father always on tour and a crazy mother. Birdie Easton had looks, fame, and money....She was everything her daughter wasn't. Too bad she was always too stoned to notice. Lex had been through a lot for a girl about to turn eighteen. She had low self esteem and a poor body image...not helped by her awful boyfriend Kelle. Always promising they'd do the deed if she just lost a little more weight. They all plan a vacation to Paris over the summer before starting college. Lex plans to give away her "V" card at last. Her plans go up in smoke literally....and they find themselves in jail. These girls are no strangers to Orange jumpsuits. Their past antics have landed them in juvie. This time however the boundaries of their friendship will be tested. Throw into the mix their gay best friend Blake and a hot tattooed motorcycle cop. This story is sure to keep you entertained.Avery Aster's new adult novel will have you laughing, cheering, and sad to see it end. It is a great coming of age story. You will fall in love with Lex and all her quirks. The way she zones out of reality and lives out her fantasies in her mind. This book is written in the point of view of Lex and it is so entertaining. Enjoy! less
