review 1: It was ok, I kinda lost interest in the middle. One thing, though--I didn't rate down for this--I wish the author had just made up a town. Every time Chico was mentioned, I was taken out of the story. It's not thaaaat small, it's a college town and it gets all sorts, and believe me--no one would bat an eye at a tough guy with tattoos. The whole thing made me wonder if she's ever been there? Researched at all? Knows anything about California, even?
review 2: This book made me happy. Tommy and Teo felt real in how they acted when seperated, it was refreshing and seemed honest. I also really liked them together, even though I wasn't sure what they liked so much about each other, not that I can't make a educated guest, but Ashton doesn't just spell out the reason (w
... morehich was nice too).Teo is a thug, so is Tommy (even if it's not as obvious) and not only was the dialogue written to show where they came from, but also their thoughts. It was nice, made me nostalgic for Jersey. Also props for mentioning a character who's gone through a trauma and actually got professional help which has led to him getting better (even if he still has triggers, because he still has a ways to go). It's great when stories add that kind of depth. At times this book was intense, but it never was too much nor dragged out. The characters meet and take care of business. There was more added to the ongoing story line about the N brothers, and that scene at the end of the previous book (with Syren talking to that agent) makes more sense now. There is one thing that bothered me, mostly because I don't know if there will be any revolution for it. The next Sinner book is supposed to be the last, but Aston has introduced two more possible couple storylines. Why introduce something and not have it go anywhere? Hopefully there will be something, because she sure made it seem important. Other than that this was a satisfying read. One more thing, it's not necessary to read the free extra stories, but it does add more to the story as what happens in them is mentioned in the Sinner series (at least in this one). less

Oh Tommy and Mateo so deserved a longer story than they got. They were so hot together.

Did you hear that? That was the sound of another brain cell I'm never getting back.

Cute, but no where near the level the other books were on.
