review 1: Tbh I almost didn't read this book because most of the reviews I read were really bad. But my "brother's boyfriend" kink won at the end! :D I'm glad actually! Yes, the drama going in this book is kind of repetitive.. and I think this is what annoyed people the most. I mean why create such a messy situation where the angst seemed almost never-ending at times?.. hmm.. hello? This is fiction? If they could have just dealt with their one-night-stand fast there wouldn't be a story. And I know enough people that like to complicate things to unfortunately think this book isn't as unrealistic as most people seem to say it is. :|The one thing that got me a bit sad is how there wasn't much smut between them honestly.. I expected more. This book has some great sex scenes but they are... more few, the rest of the story is mostly angst.Overall. I didn't think it was that hard to go through the story at all. I actually went read it in just a few hours and while it wasn't GREAT, it wasn't BAD. If you got some sort of a "fall for the brother/sister's boyfriend" kink like me, you'll probably enjoy this! Just remember to expect more angst than sex! lol review 2: Can I start by saying that I forgot what this book was about and didn't read the blurb when I started reading so when Eric was calling Jacob 'cub', I said to myself 'cool, it's a shifter book'. But it wasn't. Maybe if it was Cash and Jacob would have made more sense. Maybe one night of sex that led to 3 years of them pining for each other would have made sense because they were mates. But noooo, this was just a lot of extra drama for no reason at all. These two guys just made me mad. Finding each other again during the circumstances that was happening around them was just maddening. At about 80%, I started skimming. At 90%, I just didn't care anymore and skipped to the last page. I didn't like these two characters. I am not sure if I liked anyone in the book after Jacob and Cash had sex the first time. The story was not strong enough for me to give it more than 1.5 stars. less
