review 1: I wasn’t really sure how this book would work when I started reading it. You have a criminal and a cop that fall for each other. All I kept thinking was how a cop could not report everything he knows. It just doesn’t seem right that he doesn’t turn in crimes he knows about. I am still up in the air about that.Otherwise, the romance part of the story worked. I liked Gabe and Pagan together. You could see how much they cared for each other.Overall, I would say the story was good. It wasn’t a top of my list story, but it was entertaining.
review 2: I really enjoyed this book. Yes it was corny and everything wrapped up a little too conveniently, but overall it was good. I liked all the characters, especially Angelo's Mami. I was rooting for Angelo and Gabe ... morethe whole time. I really liked the way Gabe didn't go through the whole soul searching 'can I be with a man' thing that normally takes place. He just accepted his attraction and I enjoyed reading that. I'll definitely be reading more by this author. less
