review 1: Anyone who knows me knows that I am a huge fan of fantasy and vampire stories so it often takes a lot to keep me intrigued. The Legend of the Blue Eyes did exactly that and more! I was immediately drawn into the story as I myself was a teenager who knew nothing of her parents just like Arianna. Her story takes a huge turn when she finds out that she is the daughter of two vampires, or night humans as others call them. Unfortunately for her it seems that her parents came from two sides of night humans who are at war with each other. Sides are being chosen in this war of nights yet Arianna has both sides flowing within her.The story is filled with fantasy, suspense, and enough romance that kept me captivated on every page. It is very well written and I found it very easy to ... moreflow through the pages as the author did a great job making each page intriguing. I will certainly be reading book 2!
review 2: I've read a lot of vampire series, so it's always fun when I find one that is different than the rest. This was the first time I've heard of dearg-dul or baku, so it had my interest right away. I probably would have given it 5 stars, but I got a bit annoyed by all the boys lusting over and falling instantly in love with Ariana. It got a bit annoying at times, but I understand that it's a young adult series and that's to be somewhat expected. less
